Alzheimer's is difficult to diagnose. Many steps are needed, to rule out other possible reasons for dementia symptoms. A highly-qualified team can diagnose Alzheimer's with 95% reliability ... but there is no definitive diagnosis, other than biopsy of the brain after death.
