Alzheimer's patients live, on average, four and a half to six years after diagnosis. Some patients have a relatively easy journey, whereas others develop many distressing symptoms. What are the typical stages of Alzheimer's? Is there any way to predict which patients will progress quickly, or what symptoms may develop?
