Doll Therapy video
I am working on a paper applying Kolcaba's nursing Theory of Comfort to the use of baby doll therapy in Alzheimer's dementia. My mother is past middle stage dementia and I recently gave her a baby doll for comfort. She had started to carry a stuffed toy camel around and pet it. I have seen baby doll therapy work well in dementia, but have wondered if it is truly age appropriate therapy. Here is my mother's answer to that research question! Robin VanHyning, RN, BSN
