Geriatric Care Managers of New England
Welcome to our website! We are the Geriatric Care Managers of New England, a regional chapter of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.
Since 1986, our purpose has been to define and promote the highest standards of practice in care management through dynamic leadership, continuing education, and opportunities for collaborative relationships among our members.
Professional Geriatric Care Managers (GCMs) are highly skilled professionals dedicated to promoting quality of life for those who are growing older. Care Managers meet this goal by designing a plan which maximizes the independence and well being of each elder.
Our membership is steadily expanding as knowledge spreads about how we support countless families dealing with complex issues of aging. GCMNE membership is open to qualified individuals with either a degree in a field of human services (social work, psychology, nursing, gerontology) or an equivalent background, who are experienced in the delivery of elder related care and services. Also, the members of the GCMNE Chapter must meet or exceed the standards set by the National Association.
If you are looking for a Geriatric Care Manager to assist with your family's elder care planning needs, please consult our online Directory for an expert in your area. Or, if you are interested in joining GCMNE as a professional GCM, please don't hesitate to contact us for more information.
